How to book your women’s health appointment
These appointments are with a female GP and last 30 minutes in the initial appointment. This is to give you enough time to fully discuss your concerns & expectations as well as sufficient time for any examination that may be required. You don’t want to rush. Common issues discussed are continence, menopause & HRT, breast concerns, sexual dysfunction, fertility, contraception. We are happy seeing any issue in these appointments. Should you need scans or blood tests these can be facilitated in clinic. We also have rapid access to consultant colleagues should the need exist.
You have access to discounted follow-up appointments with our GPs after this procedure by telephone, video or face to face in clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you treat sexually transmitted conditions?
Yes we can and if you were found to have a positive result the day after your appointment we can email & text your prescription for pickup from a pharmacy local to you
Do you charge for coils and implant devices?
We can provide the coil or implant but we are also happy to work with devices that you have had prescribed by your NHS GP, if they have provided you with a prescription.
What kind of contraception is for me?
When considering your contraeptive options you want something reliable. The coil & contraceptive implant (the bar) are perfect for this. With effectiveness from 3 to 7 years these methods of contraception take the stress out of family planning.
You will be consented for the procedures & any preliminary tests undertaken – we have access to instant as well as laboratory STD testing facilities.
Our appointments are in the evenings or weekend – allowing you to plan around your other responsibilities.
Book a Women’s health GP appointment and we can lay out all the options including oral medication, patches, injections, physical barriers as well as coils and implants.
Do you provide services for teenagers?
Yes we do. Though we always would advise underage girls to discuss their health with their parents, we will treat you if we deem you competent to consent & if it is in your best interest – just like the NHS. See Gillick/Fraser competence.
