Appointments & procedures

Start with a 15-minute consultation.

Every patient sees a dermatology-trained GP first to confirm what's going on and outline the best treatment — whether that's a prescription, a peel, or minor surgery.

Minor Surgery Assessment

Pre-procedure consultation

If you're booking specifically for a removal — cyst, mole, skin tag, lump — this assessment confirms what we can offer and the cost of any procedure.

How it works

From first appointment to procedure.

In line with Good Medical Practice, we always assess first — so you have time to understand what's involved before agreeing to any procedure.

1

Book appointment

Book a 15-minute slot with our dermatology-trained GP at your nearest clinic — Omagh, Newry, Belfast or Ballymena.

2

Diagnosis

Your GP examines, explains what's going on, and outlines treatment options or surgical needs.

3

1-week consideration

For surgical procedures, you have a week to decide whether to proceed — no pressure to commit on the day.

4

Treatment or procedure

Treatment proceeds — prescription, peel, Botox, or minor surgery. Or we'll refer to a consultant if needed.

FAQs

Common questions about our skin clinic.

Can you remove my skin problem?

Yes — we can perform minor surgery for many cysts, moles, skin tags, lumps and other skin blemishes using excision, curettage, cautery or cryosurgery.

However, we won't remove any lesion we suspect to be cancer. If we have any concerns, we'll refer you to a Consultant colleague. Some lesions also need a sample sent for diagnostic pathology — your GP will discuss this and any associated cost at your assessment.

Will you operate at my first appointment?

No. In line with Good Medical Practice, your initial appointment is for diagnosis and to outline what surgical intervention can be offered, including the price.

You then have one week to consider whether you wish to proceed or cancel. If our GP can't operate on a particular lesion, they'll refer you to a Consultant colleague suited to resolving your problem.

Will you prescribe Roaccutane?

Roaccutane (isotretinoin) can only be initiated on Consultant Dermatologist advice and prescription. Once a consultant has started you on it, our GPs are happy to continue prescribing — provided risks (including pregnancy in women of childbearing age) have been adequately addressed.

What about chemical peels and Botox?

We offer chemical peels for acne and rosacea, and Botox injections for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Both are performed by our dermatology-trained GP. You'll have a consultation first to confirm suitability and discuss costs.

Do you offer mole mapping?

Yes — we provide mole mapping and individual mole/lesion checks. If we identify anything suspicious, we'll refer you on to a consultant dermatologist via our partner network for urgent specialist review.
