Common questions about sexual health testing.
Is everything confidential?
Yes — strictly. Your appointment, results and any treatment we provide stay between you and our team. We never share information with your NHS GP unless you specifically ask us to. You're in full control of who knows what.
How quickly will I get my results?
Most results come back within one week of your appointment, sent securely to your email. The exact turnaround depends on the panel — your nurse will let you know at the appointment.
I have symptoms — what should I book?
Book the 15-minute nurse appointment to start. The nurse will discuss your symptoms, recommend the right test panel, and take samples there and then. If you have visible symptoms (sores, rashes, discharge) you may also benefit from a clinic GP appointment alongside testing.
I have no symptoms but want a check — which panel?
The Comprehensive Bloods + Comprehensive Urine combination is the most common choice for a general screen with no symptoms. If you've had a specific exposure, your nurse will recommend a more targeted panel.
Can you treat positive results?
Yes — most STIs can be treated promptly. If your test is positive, book a discounted GP follow-up (£49 virtual or £60 in clinic). Your GP will explain the result, prescribe treatment if needed, and discuss anything else relevant — partner notification, repeat testing timelines, etc.
Are you LGBTQIA+ friendly?
Yes. We're an inclusive clinic. We respect your identity and don't make assumptions about who you are or what you need. We have specific MSM (men who have sex with men) panels designed for the most relevant testing — and you'll never be asked questions that aren't medically necessary.
