FAQs

Common questions about Men's Health.

Will I see a male GP?

Yes — our men's health appointments are with a male GP who has a special interest in men's health. If you'd prefer a particular clinician, just let us know at the booking step.

Can you treat sexually transmitted conditions?

Yes. If your test comes back positive after your appointment, we can email and text your prescription so you can collect it from a pharmacy local to you — no return visit needed.

Can you prescribe for hair loss or hormone issues?

Yes — if it's clinically appropriate and you meet the criteria, we can prescribe medications for hair loss and hormone-related concerns including testosterone replacement.

Will you tell my NHS GP I attended?

That's your choice. We always recommend you let your GP know about treatment received here, and we'll provide a copy of your notes for that purpose. If we feel sharing information is essential for your medical safety, we'll advise you. Otherwise, we understand sometimes you want to keep things separate.

What if I need a scan or specialist referral?

If your GP recommends a scan or blood test, we can usually arrange it in clinic — including with our male sonographer. If you need a consultant opinion, we have rapid access to specialist colleagues via our Kingsbridge partnership.

I've been putting this off — is it worth coming in?

Always. Most men wait until things are at crisis point — our GPs would rather see you early when something's easy to fix or rule out. There's no judgment, and nothing you'd say that we haven't heard before.

Don't put it off — let's talk.
